The pumpkin festival was local and about 40 minutes away so we met up with our friends the Langstons and some fellow JAG buddies after church to check it out. The farm is called Hitscherhof and set in the beautiful German countryside, but the festival only lasts for one weekend of the year so it is seriously packed with loads of people. We ran into so many people we knew, which was fun, but it was also a little hard to maneuver at times.

Me and my Pal Courtney!
The festival had some cute stands with people selling their goods and of course lots of vendors selling food made of all things pumpkin! We indulged in some pumpkin brats, pumpkin soup, some damfnudeln (our favorite festival treat), and some local jams and honey. The guys had some beers and we sampled the ever so talked about "pumpkin wine." This was not my cup of tea at all. In my opinion it was sweet and syrupy, so we did not buy a bottle for later.

Pumpkin Goodies
Me and sweet love
Overall, it was a great day hanging out with friends, enjoying the beautiful fall weather, scenery, and indulging in all the pumpkin treats! If you live in the Ramstein area this is such an easy and family friendly festival to attend! I would definitely try to spend an afternoon there. I love this season and so thankful that I get to live in Germany and witness the beauty of Fall. I think this fall is 10 times more beautiful than last year for some reason and I truly cannot get enough of it!!
